Nokia DC - 16 Portable charger.

One issue that I have always had with smartphones is the battery life.
Except a few smartphones like the Moto X , no smartphone today can boast of battery life comparable to a feature phone .
& When your battery runs down , there are only two solutions to it :
1 - Pop in another Full charged battery {For that you need to carry spare batteries with you all the time}
2 - Keep a portable charger with you.

THE DC-16

I chose the latter . For my phone's 1420 mAh , I needed something that could give it alteast a full charge when in need { & not carry spare batteries with me }. The solution to my problem was the Nokia DC-16 ,

I ordered it from Flipkart , & got a good deal at Rs.1,300{ it was selling @MRP in the local market}

MRP : Rs. 1499.

The delivery was quick , & the item well packed.

The charger comes in a small box , which contains the charger itself , a small micro USB cable & a manual.

The charger had a charge of around 75% when I opened it ,
To know the remaining charge , simply press the battery icon on top the Micro-USB port . The 4 led will lit up to give an idea of the remaining charge.
1lit = 25% , 2lit = 50% , 3lit = 75% & 4 lit means a full charge.

THE DEVICE

DC-16 Black variant

I bought the black variant for myself { there are 3 other colors to choose }. The device is small enough to fit into your pocket along with its charging cable.

It does have a good build quality , although I don't prefer buying their phones {because of windows OS } , Nokia is still one of the best in making great devices.

The size of the device isnt very small , but not so big so as to be the cause of any discomfort.

The device is the same size as a ball point pen , just a bit thicker.

The charging cable is small , but does the job done. { & easily fits into a pocket }

OPERATING THE CHARGER

The charger is very easy to operate.
When charging your device , simply plug the cable into its USB port & connect it to the micro USB port of your device.

To charge the device itself , simply plug the cable into the micro USB port & connect it to a USB port/wall charger.

The Device takes approximately 4-5 hours to get from 0 to 100%.

USAGE & VERDICT

I charged the device full & then used it to charge my A9+(1420mAh) from 25% to 100% , my A90S(1600mAh) from 67% to 90%. Still , it had around around 25% charge remaining.

So, if you want a portable charger for a phone having a battery of capacity less than 1800 mAh, The Nokia DC-16 will give you 1 full charge & still have some juice left.

Pros :

-Small size

-attractive color option

-does its job.

Cons :

cant think of any ,

if you have a phone having a battery having a capacity of around 2000mAh , then it may not be able to give you a full charge.

Its a great companion for smartphones ,

& any other device that supports USB charging.
