QinetiQ Group PLC (OTC: QNTQY) reported a 9% drop in its first-half pretax profit and lifted its dividend.

QinetiQ's pretax profit for the period fell to 72.6 million pounds ($115.72 million), from GBP80 million, in the year-ago period.

Its revenue dropped 13% to GBP599.6 billion.

National Grid PLC (NYSE: NGG) posted a drop in its first-half pretax profit.

National Grid's pretax profit for the period declined 11% to 1.05 billion pounds ($1.69 billion), while revenue rose to GBP6.72 billion from GBP6.07 billion.

National Grid shares closed at $61.81 yesterday.

Investec PLC (OTC: IVTJF) reported a drop in its first-half profit.

Investec's earnings for the six months ended September 30 declined to GBP164 million ($264.5 million), versus GBP167 million, in the year-ago period.

Its adjusted operating profit fell to GBP223 million from GBP228 million.

Johnson Matthey PLC (OTC: JMPLY) reported a 12% rise in its first-half pretax profit.

Johnson Matthey's pretax profit for the period surged to 202.1 million pounds ($325.1 million), from GBP180.1 million, in the year-ago period.

Its revenue climbed 31% to GBP6.41 billion.

Johnson Matthey raised its interim dividend by 10% to 17 pence versus 15

Abercrombie & Fitch Co (NYSE: ANF) is expected to report its Q3 earnings at $0.45 per share on revenue of $1.06 billion.

Dollar Tree (NASDAQ: DLTR) is estimated to report its Q3 earnings at $0.60 per share on revenue of $1.91 billion.
