The Nokia Lumia 1020 is the company's most advanced Windows Phone available on the market. The handset is a premium device with niche features, including the 41MP camera. You could consider this a celebration for the victory that Nokia and Microsoft has managed to pull off. Instagram is coming to Windows Phone, that we already know from the official announcement at Nokia World 2013. WhatsApp has been on a roll recently, with a big update arriving a few days ago with some new, highly valued features. That was version 2.11.276 and today, version 2.11.282 has landed in the Store.

Although today's update is nothing major, it does tidy up a few things and fixes a bug or two that some users have experienced.

Nokia announced the Lumia 2520 Windows RT 8.1 tablet at its conference in Abu Dhabi earlier this month. Microsoft had already unveiled the Surface 2, but which tablet is more appealing? In this busy, busy week in tech, Apple dropped the latest update to OS X, 10.9 Mavericks, and with it some apps have started to experience problems. One of those, at least on my Mac, is Nokia Photo Transfer. It seems to be pretty widespread, with problems detailed in the Nokia support forums, as well as in the Windows Phone Central forums. The good news; there is an easy fix. 

We recently looked at a leak of the Verizon Lumia 929 from Nokia, which didn't make the event in Abu Dhabi. A leaker on our forum uploaded a video and some photos for everyone to check out the upcoming Windows Phone that's expected to launch sometime before Q1 2014. Now that same leaker has published a sample shot captured by the Lumia 929.

India is an interesting market for smartphones. The country is growing quickly with low-end, affordable smartphones from multiple vendors pushing through hardware and upgrading consumers. Now the co-founder of Micromax (www.micromaxinfo.com), an India handset maker, Rahul Sharma has revealed the company will be looking to release a Windows Phone next year.
