For those with Xbox Live Gold Memberships, every month Microsoft tags a few games and offers them as free downloads. The Games with Gold program offers two free games to Xbox Live Gold Members each month.

One of the two titles becomes available on the first of the month and the second title lands on the 16th. For November, your Games with Gold titles are A World of Keflings (available on the 1st) and Iron Brigade (available on the 16th).

Mint.com has had a rollercoaster of a relationship with Windows Phone. Earlier this year they said they had no plans for Windows Phone. Fast forward a few months and we're looking at them instead confirming a Mint.com app for Windows Phone before the end of the year. Not only are they working on Windows Phone support, but they also confirmed a Windows 8 version of Mint.com in time for the holidays.

redBus.in, India's largest bus ticketing company, have launched their official Windows Phone app. While they've had an Android app for a while, Windows Phone users should be happy to be next in line. The popular service offers tickets for over 12,000 routes across India with 700+ luxury bus operators.

Dell released the Latitude 6430u Ultrabook as a notebook as an affordable light and portable machine for the business professional. We have been quite happy with the new direction of design Dell has been headed in, but there is one problem – one of their laptops "smell of cat urine".

According to reports from the BBC, "a number of users" have been complaining that some of their Latitude Ultrabooks "smell of cat urine". While not a very appealing scent, Dell engineers have assured that the machines have not been biologically contaminated and there is no health hazard.

Although Nokia themselves have not released that "premium leather case" for the Lumia 1020, a third party company evidently has. We reported on it last week, revealing that the site Gadget2Us was selling various versions of the case, including brown "leather". We use quotes because it's not real leather, but rather a cloth layer that simulates the look and feel. Hey, what did you want for less than $10?

Smart Resize first hit the radar last month as the winning app in Nokia's Future Capture contest. The Windows Phone 8 photography app is now available over in the Windows Phone Store and takes an interesting approach to editing things out of your photos.

Instead of cloning or cropping unwanted items or empty space out of your photo, Smart Resize downsamples the image. It utilizes a content-aware scale algorithm that differentiates between the less important and more important parts of the image.

In a manner of speaking, Smart Resize squeezes out the unwanted areas of your photos.

Dell's first 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet hits the market

With Windows 8.1 unleashed by Microsoft a couple of weeks ago, it's about time we started seeing some new hardware. One of the big new areas for Microsoft is in the 8-inch tablet range, where Apple and Android have been fighting it out for some time now.

Sure, Microsoft had the Acer W3 but with its craptacular display, they needed some more finesse from their other OEMs.

Over the weekend, we started receiving a truckload of tips regarding the WhatsApp beta being "opened to the public". For those who don't know, WhatsApp maintains two branches, one being the public release the other one for beta development. The second branch is closed and "invite only" (yes, we're a part of it) while the other one is for general release.

Nokia announced both the Lumia 1320 and Lumia 1520 at Nokia World 2013 earlier this month. We've received a tip that the New Zealand mobile operator Telecom is currently rolling out a firmware update for the Nokia Lumia 920. It's believed the update unlocks 4G connectivity, which was previously disabled. The network will be launching its 4G upgrade next month and this update will ensure Lumia 920 owners will be able to enjoy faster data transfer speeds.
