Fhotoroom adds invert tilt shift and straightening in latest update

Fhotoroom, one of our favorite photo-editing apps for Windows Phone, just got an update to version 9.5. In addition to bug fixes, Fhotoroom adds 2 editing options. You can now play with Invert Tilt Shift and Straighten with your photos. Not sure what they're for? We have a video to show you how they look, so watch it after the break.

The official release date for the Nokia Lumia 1520 is still about week away, but it looks like a few members from our forums have got their hands on the device already. MichelleSV purchased the Nokia Lumia 1520 from an AT&T kiosk in Greensboro, NC at a discounted price of $540 and posts some unboxing photos.

Nokia Photo Transfer for Mac just got an update, adding support for DNG file transfer. This comes just before the release of the Nokia Lumia 1520, which is the first smartphone to offer raw file output. The photos in lossless DNG (Digital Negative) file format allow you to adjust several things like white balance, contrast, or shadow and highlight levels on your computer without damaging it too much. People who are passionate about photography will have more flexibility editing the DNG files compared to JPEG files.

Star Wars: Tiny Death Star

Star Wars: Tiny Death Star hit both the Windows Phone and Windows Store last week and is the result of a partnership between LucasArts and Nimblebit games.

The game, available for Windows Phone 8, plays much like Nimblebit's Tiny Tower just with a Star Wars twist. You're tasked with building a Death Star level by level, while maintaining economic stability, keeping your population happy and thwart the Rebel Alliance.

The retro styled graphics does have a certain level of appeal but the pace of the game may put some to sleep. However, if you like business simulation styled games Star Wars: Tiny Death Star is an attractive choice to consider.
