Touchcontrol Updated to Support Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2013)
We first talked about Slide2wake with Touchcontrol in June of last year. Back then, the app only supported the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and many users wanted this functionality extended to other devices. XDA Recognized Developer bponury released a substantial update to his Touchcontrol app, adding support for the Nexus 4  and the Nexus 7 (2013) as well.
The update also brings new features to the app that might interest you: It now supports slide2locktouch2wakeand doubletap2wake. These features are normally found within several custom kernels, but now it’s built into an app that is capable of working on basically any kernel that is close enough to the stock kernel.
In order to use the app’s features,  you must be running a rooted Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, or Nexus 7 (2013). You may also need to flash to a different kernel if your current kernel is not yet supported.
While there many be some battery drain by keeping the touch screen active at all times, user results are thus far mixed. As reported by the developer:
this might bring some drain, some users report quite a big battery drain some not, I will address this issue in some time. Check yourself how much an issue it is for you.
Head over to the application thread  to get started.
